The People of Continental Steel
Continental Steel has an extremely high employee retention rate. In fact, some of our employees have been around since the company's inception in 1971. Continental Steel's Project Managers boast regular clients and established relationships. Continental Steel's shop employees are members of the Ironworkers Shop Union, while the field employees are members of the Ironworkers, the Millwrights or the Operating Engineers.
Robert L. Bisbee: Founder Robert Bisbee founded Continental Steel in 1971 and has continued to run the company until he passed away in 2009. Continental Steel has enjoyed steady growth since 1971. Robert continued to find new ways to utilize his talents and resources to benefit the people and communities around him.

 Carol Bisbee: President/Secretary
Carol has worked at Continental since it was founded in 1971, performing an array of administrative duties as the company grew from a two person office to what it is today. After Mr. Bisbee became ill, Carol continued her role and at his request became President/Secretary when he was not longer able to work due to illness.

 Jim Leonard: Senior Project Manager
Jim has been with Continental Steel for eight years. He specializes in estimating and structural fabrication and erection, in addition to a wide range of miscellaneous steel fabrication, from handrails to custom stairways. Recent projects have included the Kansas City Convention Center and the TWA building renovation.

 Jim Henley: Project Manager
Jim has been with Continental Steel since 1988. He enjoys the custom nature of each project that comes through Continental Steel. He handles a wide variety of work, from general contracting to industrial projects. Recent projects have included St. Luke's Hospital renovations in addition to several small, local contractor projects.

 Mike Keck: Project Manager
Mike has been with Continental Steel and Conveyor Co. since 2006. He specializes in projects ranging from industrial projects to water/wastewater projects. He has been in the steel fabricating industry for 26 years. His background enables him to handle aluminum/stainless steel and carbon steel fabricating. Recent projects include General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Cargill Crush Plant Expansion, and CertainTeed.

 Marshal Banks: Project Manager
Marshal has been with Continental Steel and Conveyor Co. since 2008. He specializes in water/wastewater, infrastructure, and design build projects. Before Continental Steel, he practiced as a civil/structural engineer for transmission line, substation, and energy plant design. Recent projects have included Weston WTP Improvements, Mustang WWTP Improvements, and local building code requirement projects.

 John Nyquist: Draftsman
John is our in-house draftsman. He has been a contractor for Continental Steel and Conveyor Co. since 1996. He is a graduate of Finley Engineering College. He has 42 years experience in detailing projects.

 Don Wegener: Shop Superintendent
Don has worked for Continental Steel and Conveyor Co. since 1976. He has been the Shop Superintendent since 1991. He has extensive experience in every facet of shop fabrication. He oversees each project that passes through the shop, starting from the design phase through to the finished product. When he's not working at the shop, you may find him fishing, or relaxing in the outdoors. Don is the proud father of three grown sons.

 Don Nafzinger: Manager, Continental Rental Don helps to coordinate equipment and tools for our field department. He also manages equipment rental through our equipment rental company, Continental Rental. Continental Rental supplies equipment ranging from cranes to elevators.

 Zoom : Office Cat
Zoom is a stray cat that found a home at Continental Steel, most often in John Nyquist's office, and usually on his papers.
