Talk to Real People: We are personable as a small company; there is direct communication between our staff and clients. Likewise, if a Project Manager needs to discuss the details of a project with our Production Manager, he can easily walk downstairs and talk to him in person.
Our Resources: Continental Steel has an advantage over many other fabricators in its ability—both in terms of financial resources and available space—to purchase directly from the steel mills, and warehouse the steel at its manufacturing facility.
Another major advantage Continental Steel enjoys is being able to control both the fabrication and the field erection using full-time union personnel. Continental's shop employees are members of the Ironworkers Shop Union while the field employees are members of the Ironworkers, the Millwrights or the Operating Engineers.
Our Facility: Continental Steel has a 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility, with overhead cranes, located between the Northeast Industrial Bottoms and Downtown Kansas City. The office area above the manufacturing plant is 15,000 square feet with an additional 15,000 square feet for growth.
